This special post is to fulfill 2 personal bets with Kachino.

1st Bet: Minnesota Vikings beat Seattle Seahawks Week 11 of the current NFL season. Therefore, I must rotate my “special” picture 90 degrees clockwise for a month. Check.

2nd Bet: Minnesota Vikings finished with a best overall record than Seattle Seahawks (a while back… ). Therefore, I must post something about a guy who supports a talented team from the North Division. Check (Read below).

This is my first time writing about another Xangan, so hopefully I'm doing this right.

This is Alex, but his alias is Kachino. His passion in life is sports, and naturally therefore, he’s a sports buff. Somebody please remind me again why I made this sports bet with him in the first place?? I think it’s safe to say that he won these two bets from the very beginning.

My first impression of Alex could be summed up in three words: humorous, sociable, and popular. Over the course of time, these qualities have proven to be quite evident. It’s always great to talk to him, since he never fails to make me laugh and puts me in a positive mood every time (as I’m sure he has for many others as well). He reaches out to others, making social connections and sustaining friendships, always returning a friendly reply to a comment. And, despite what he believes, these qualities make him quite a popular person, as others are naturally drawn to his positive energy and charming, fun personality. Because he is very smart and intellectual, with his mind working at lightning speed, he is very quick, very witty and amusingly sarcastic as a result. But, if there is something you should know about him, it's that, first and foremost, he’s the type of person who lets his actions speak louder than words, which is really admirable, because his actions demonstrate that he is extremely thoughtful and caring. He is a very loyal individual, for his friends and family mean the world to him. And, being the simple guy that he is, his philosophy in life is the Pareto Principle (also known as the 80/20 rule). Maybe you’ve heard of it somewhere before: “... In anything, a few (20%) are vital, and many (80%) are trivial.” He really does "talk the talk and walk the walk", as he applies this principle to his own life.

What else do you need to know about Alex aka Kachino?

... Just that he is genuinely a great guy, and he'll probably refuse to accept this fact, because he's much too humble and modest for his own good.

And, the countdown begins...

Happy Holidays!

"And, if only one thing had happened differently..."
**WARNING! write a blog with 25 random facts, habits, goals, or things about you.
At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person
who tagged you.

Note: I was tagged by swtster and fLiPgUy31O. Apparently, there are two different versions of these viral "25 Things" floating around, but I'll use the first format I was tagged with.

1) FACT: I am both a morning and a night person. How could I not be glad to wake up to a new day, and stay up till the end of the day? Life is beautiful.

2) HABIT: I bite my nails when I'm nervous or anxious. I break the habit by wearing nail polish.

3) GOAL: Currently, get a job!

4) This used to be my favorite number.

5) FACT: Legally, I'm both Canadian and American, but I'll always think of myself as Canadian, because I will never forget where I came from and grew up.

6) HABIT: I brush my teeth after every meal, if I can, and every time I leave the
house even if I've already brushed my teeth in the morning.

7) GOAL: Travel to Europe ... and Asia .. and Australia ... and so on...

8) Nothing touches and moves me more than music does. When I listen to it, I become one with it.

9) FACT: I took a nursing assistant vocational course in high school and found out it wasn't the career for me.

10) HABIT: I usually always drive 5-10 mph over the speed limit. If I can get away with it, I will!

11) GOAL: Invest in real estate properties to help me financially through retirement.

12) I strongly believe everybody should have the right and freedom to be exactly who they are and strive to reach their full potential. Nobody should be anything less.

13) FACT: I have a pierced cartilage on my right ear.

14) HABIT: I shower every morning when I wake up.

15) GOAL: Write and get published.

16) I would never try to restrain or hold anybody back... from their dreams, their passions, etc. unless they were doing harm to others or to themselves.

17) FACT: I am the middle child and the only girl in my family.

18) I respect honesty, and even if the truth hurts, I will accept it without objection.

19) FACT: I'm in control of myself and my own life, and I do not like to shun responsibility onto others.

20) ... which is exactly why I can be very hard on myself at times.

21) FACT:
I am 5'1.5" and wear 6.5-size shoes, to be exact.

22) HABIT: I'm very quiet when I'm deep in thought.

23) GOAL: Gain leadership experience and skills in a marketing career in media or promotion and work my way up.

24) FACT:
I dream almost every night and remember most of them when I wake up. And, sometimes, they come true...

25) I admire and respect people with integrity -- people who are true to themselves and act consistently with who they are.

Passion: Don't hold back.
I waited too long, and now it's gone...

One of my hard-drives was completely wiped out the other day, which contained most of my personal stuff. Among the small percentage that had real significant value to me were a few of my important writings. Writing is my passion, and therefore, my writing is very important to me. Unlike the other files on my laptop that can be easily replaced, the exact words that formed from my consciousness in those moments in time are more difficult to replicate and piece back together again. Writing is a process... It's an evolution. It's always changing, because your thoughts and ideas are always changing -- You, yourself, are always changing and evolving. Writing captures a moment in time, who you are/were at that moment, in all of your essence.

Writing is my passion, because I'm a thinker. There are people in the world who are thinkers, feelers, or doers. If there is one type of person that I am, it would be a thinker. The secondary type of person I would be is a feeler. Because I often think and feel intensely, writing is an outlet that allows me to harness all these passionate thoughts and emotions inside of me into a constructive, creative form. Nothing has felt more natural and more intuitive to me than writing. It's become who I am, because when I write, I write with purpose. I write with all of my thoughts, ideas, beliefs, values, opinions, heart, and soul.... I write with all of me -- the deepest, rawest parts of me. The very parts of me that I protect vehemently because of how bare and vulnerable they can be. And, when inspiration hits me, all of these things flow out of me with lightening strength. It unleashes itself in all its power and glory. And, there's no holding back. I can't hold it back. Can't stop; Won't stop.

The writings that I lost were kept locked away on my laptop, waiting to see the light of day.
However, they didn't make it out alive. ... And, that is very unfortunate, because I had so much I wanted to share. My writing shouldn't be kept away. Like any other moment in life, it should be shared with the rest of the world.

These potently passionate parts of ourselves --
the very essence of what makes us who we are as individuals --
should be shared and shown to the rest of the world.

It should be unleashed and fostered to grow...
to expand...
in the light,
and in its deserved right and freedom,
to shine...

For moments of passion, or anything else in life for that matter -- Don't hold back or let it wait for another day.

Don't wait too long...
... because, before you know it,
it may be gone...

In Retrospect, "I knew it..."

Aside from "Never give up,"
the other piece of advice I would offer you is to...

TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS!

They're usually right the first time.

I knew it... I’m standing at the back
And I’m tired of waiting
Waiting here in line, hoping that I’ll find
what I’ve been chasing.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m going to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
I never know why it’s coming down, down, down.

Not ready to let go

'Cause then I’d never know, what I could be missing
I’m missing way too much
So when do I give up what I’ve been wishing for?

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m going to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
I never know why it’s coming down, down, down.
Oh I’m going down, down, down
Can’t find another way around
And I don’t want to hear the sound, of losing what I never found.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m going to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
I never know why it’s coming down, down, down.
I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m going to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Oh it’s coming down, down, down.
